Spring has Sprung Early!

After a mild winter and an unusually warm March, we have gotten a head start on servicing lawns for 2012. You might have seen our trucks around locally spreading Lime on the lawns or spraying Horticultural Oil on the trees and shrubs.
Now is the best time to clean up your property of all the fallen leaves and branches from the (few) winter storms we had. The sooner the lawn is clean the sooner we can apply the Rd 1 Pre-Emergent Crabgrass Control Plus Fertilizer.
If Rd 1 Pre-Emergent Crabgrass Control Plus Fertilizer is not part of your scheduled program call the office immediately to sign up.

Spring is on its way!

We have experienced quite a mild winter this year, which leads us to believe that spring will come sooner then the old groundhog says! We anticipate a rise in insect activity, Grasshopper is stocking up on Grub Control and Surface Insect Control products.  If you are not scheduled for one or both of these services we caution you that your lawn is susceptible to damage caused by Grubs, Chinch Bugs.  These insects can quickly ruin an entire lawn which may be costly to repair.

In the 2011 season we saw unprecedented chinch bug activity inConnecticut, be prepared call Grasshopper today!
